Crop Circle

Crops any image into a perfect circle — the standard shape for avatars, profile pictures, and round badge-style graphics — with a draggable positioning frame so you control exactly which part of the photo ends up inside the circle.

How to use it

Upload the photo, then drag and resize the circular frame over the area you want kept. Zoom controls help fine-tune framing on faces or logos. Export as PNG to preserve transparency around the circle; anything outside the frame is cut away rather than just hidden.

FAQ

Why export as PNG instead of JPEG? JPEG doesn’t support transparency, so the area outside the circle would be filled with a solid color instead of being genuinely cut away — PNG is what most platforms expect for a circular avatar anyway.

Can I adjust the circle size after positioning it? Yes, resize and reposition freely before exporting — nothing is finalized until then.

What if I want rounded corners on a rectangle instead of a full circle? That’s a different shape — Round corners softens the corners of a rectangle while keeping it rectangular, rather than cropping to a circle.

Will the result look pixelated if my original photo is small? If the source image is low resolution, cropping into a smaller circular area can make that limitation more visible — starting with the highest-resolution version available gives the cleanest result.
