RunLocalTools

Any tool on RunLocalTools.Online can be embedded directly on your own site — as a plain <iframe>, with no signup, API key, or approval needed. Your visitors get the tool right on your page; their files still never leave their own browser.

  • No account.
  • No API key.
  • No approval process.
  • No usage-based embedding fee.
  • No paid license to remove the attribution.
  • The tools remain browser-based when embedded, so your visitors can use them directly on your page while their files are processed in their own browser.

1. Find the tool’s ID

The ID is just whatever comes after our domain in the tool’s normal page URL. A few examples:

ToolPage URLTool ID
JSON Formatterrunlocaltools.online/json/json
Multi Time Zone Meeting Finderrunlocaltools.online/tz-meeting-finder/tz-meeting-finder
Merge Imagesrunlocaltools.online/merge/merge

You can find other tools through the full RunLocalTools directory.

2. Build the embed URL

https://runlocaltools.online/wp-content/uploads/toolkit/index.html?tool=merge&embed=1

tool=merge tells the toolkit which tool to open.

embed=1 loads the embedded version without the normal RunLocalTools site navigation.

Replace merge with the ID of the tool you want to use (or from that tool’s own page URL).

3. Copy this code

Before you paste: this example embeds Merge Images. Find tool=merge in the line below and replace merge with your tool’s ID from the table above — that’s the only thing you need to change.

html
<iframe src="https://runlocaltools.online/wp-content/uploads/toolkit/index.html?tool=merge&embed=1"
style="width:100%; height:500px; border:0; display:block;" loading="lazy"></iframe>
<script>
window.addEventListener('message', function(e){
if(!e.data || e.data.type !== 'tk-resize') return;
var f = document.getElementsByTagName('iframe');
for(var i=0;i<f.length;i++){
if(f[i].contentWindow === e.source){ f[i].style.height = e.data.height + 'px'; break; }
}
});
</script>

height:500px is just a starting size — the script above reports the tool’s real height back once it loads and resizes the frame to match, so a small jump right after the page loads is normal, not a bug.

If you’re embedding more than one tool on the same page, just repeat the whole block — iframe plus its own script — once per tool. No shared IDs to keep track of.

You’ll notice there’s no attribution line to paste in yourself — a small “Powered by Run Local Tools Online” credit already appears at the bottom of the embedded tool automatically. Nothing extra to add, and nothing to accidentally leave out.

4. Automatic attribution

Embedded tools include a small Powered by RunLocalTools attribution. You don’t need to add it manually. We keep this attribution because embedded tools are part of the RunLocalTools ecosystem, and it gives people who discover an embedded tool a way to find the wider platform.

There is no paid option to remove it.

5. Where to paste it

The code above is just HTML — where it goes depends on what your site is built on:

  • Elementor: drag an HTML widget onto the page, then paste the code into its code box.
  • WordPress (block editor, no Elementor): add a Custom HTML block, then paste inside it.
  • Squarespace: click + Add Block, choose Code (or Embed), paste the code, then Apply and save the page.
  • Wix: click + Add → Embed → HTML iFrame (or Embed a Widget), click Enter Code, choose Code, and paste.
  • Webflow: drag in an Embed element (the </> icon), then paste inside it.
  • Any other site: paste it directly into the page’s HTML, wherever you want the tool to appear.
  • Custom websites
  • Internal company portals
  • Documentation sites
  • Educational websites

What happens to visitors’ files?

The embedded interface does not turn RunLocalTools into a file-upload service. The tool still performs its processing in the visitor’s browser. That means you can provide useful functionality on your own site without building your own file-processing backend.

You can learn more about the architecture on How Our Tools Work and read the details in our Privacy Policy.
