Random Name / Raffle Picker
Paste a list of names, spin the wheel, and get a random winner — with weighted entries, auto-remove, a second wheel for picking a prize alongside a name, and a full spin history. No login, no saved account, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What it does
- Type or paste names, one per line. Instantly builds a colored spinning wheel from your list.
- Weighted entries. Add
,3after a name (e.g.Alex,3) to give that entry extra tickets in the draw — useful for raffles where some entries should have better odds without listing the same name three separate times. - Auto-remove winner. Turn this on so each name is taken out of the pool right after it wins, so a raffle with multiple rounds never draws the same person twice.
- Second wheel. Turn on a second wheel to draw two things at once — a winner’s name from one wheel and a prize from the other, spun together with one click.
- Shuffle and sort. Randomize your list order or sort it alphabetically before spinning.
- Spin history. Every spin is logged with a timestamp so you can see the full sequence of winners from a multi-round session.
- Sound and visuals. An optional sound cue plays when the wheel lands, with a colorful animated spin.
- Remembers your settings. Auto-remove, sound, and second-wheel preferences are saved locally between visits — no account required.
How to use it
- Enter your names. Type or paste one name per line into the text box. Add
,Nafter any name to give it N tickets instead of one. - Set your options. Turn on auto-remove if you’re running a multi-round raffle, and add a second wheel if you want to draw a prize alongside a name.
- Shuffle or sort (optional). Randomize or alphabetize the list before your first spin if you’d like.
- Spin. Click Spin — the wheel (or both wheels) spin and land on a winner.
- Check the history. Every result is logged below with a timestamp, so you can track winners across multiple spins.
- Clear history whenever you’re starting a fresh session.
FAQs
Is anything I type saved or sent anywhere?
No. Your name list and every spin happen entirely in your browser. Only your on/off preferences (auto-remove, sound, second wheel) are saved locally on your device so they persist next time — never your list of names.
How does the weighting work exactly?
Adding ,3 after a name gives it 3 “tickets” in the draw instead of 1, proportionally increasing its odds of being picked — it doesn’t guarantee anything, it just weights the random draw.
What happens with auto-remove if two people have the same name?
Only the one matching line is removed after a win, so if you intentionally listed a name more than once (or gave it extra weight via ,N), the other entries for that name stay in the pool for future spins.
Can I use this for more than just names — like picking a prize or a task?
Yes — the wheel works with any list of short text entries, whether that’s names, prizes, tasks, or numbers.
Is there a limit to how many names I can add?
No hard limit — very long lists will just render smaller labels on the wheel to fit everything.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, the wheel and controls are fully usable on a phone or tablet.
