Checklist Creator
A checklist sounds too simple to need its own tool, until you’re rebuilding the same packing list, moving-day list, or pre-launch checklist from scratch every time because it lived in a note that got deleted or a text thread that scrolled away. The Checklist Creator lets you build a named, reusable checklist with checkable items, group items into sections, and check things off as you go — with a progress bar showing how much is left.
Checklists cover a wide range of content, and some of it is more sensitive than the format suggests — a moving checklist that includes account numbers to transfer, a medical prep checklist with health details, or a business launch checklist that references confidential product plans before they’re public. Rather than deciding case by case what’s sensitive enough to protect, everything here runs locally by default, so whatever ends up on a given list stays in the browser regardless of what it happens to contain.
Create a new checklist, name it, and start adding items — group related items under a section header if the list is long enough to benefit from structure (packing lists often split naturally into “clothes,” “toiletries,” “documents,” for instance). Check items off as you complete them, and use the “reset” option to clear all checks without deleting the list itself, useful for a checklist you reuse regularly rather than building fresh each time.
FAQ
Does my checklist save if I close the tab?
No — since there’s no account or server storage, closing the tab clears the list. If it’s a checklist you’ll reuse often, keep a copy of the item text somewhere you can paste back in, or keep the tab open across the period you’re using it.
Can I reorder items after adding them?
Yes — drag items into a new position within their section, or move them between sections if you decide something belongs in a different group after adding it.
Is there a limit to how many items or sections I can add?
No hard limit, though very long single-section lists tend to get harder to scan — splitting into sections once a list passes roughly ten or fifteen items usually keeps it more usable.
Can I print or export a checklist rather than just using it on-screen?
Yes — the print view formats the list cleanly with checkboxes for a physical copy, useful for situations (like an in-person move) where checking things off on a screen isn’t practical.
If what you’re actually trying to build is a recurring daily or weekly habit rather than a one-time list to complete and set aside, the Habit Tracker is built specifically for that streak-based use case instead.
