Amortization Schedule Export — Free Loan Payoff Planner & Exporter

Build detailed loan amortization schedules, model extra payments, compare payoff strategies and refinance scenarios, and export your results locally for free.

What it does

Amortization Schedule Export is a local-first loan modeling tool for mortgages and other installment loans. It calculates payment schedules, principal and interest, payoff dates, extra-payment savings, housing costs, refinance comparisons, payoff targets, scenario comparisons, and downloadable reports.

It supports regular monthly payments plus semi-monthly, biweekly, and weekly schedules. One-time lump sums can be added at specific payment numbers, making it useful for bonuses, windfalls, or planned principal reductions.

For a simpler starting point, see the Loan / Mortgage Calculator. For a broader debt strategy comparison, see the Snowball vs Avalanche Debt Planner.

How it works

Enter the principal, annual interest rate, term, start date, currency, and payment frequency. The tool calculates the scheduled payment and generates the complete amortization table.

Add extra payments or lump sums to model an accelerated payoff. The tool recalculates total interest, total paid, payoff date, and savings compared with the original schedule.

The scenario laboratory lets you save multiple strategies locally. A refinance comparison can estimate the new payment, remaining interest, closing-cost impact, lifetime savings, and approximate break-even point from the assumptions you provide.

How to use it

  1. Enter the loan principal, interest rate, and term.
  2. Choose the payment frequency and start date.
  3. Add recurring or one-time extra principal payments if desired.
  4. Add property tax, insurance, HOA, or PMI to see broader housing cost.
  5. Use the payoff target solver when you have a desired payoff horizon.
  6. Save alternative scenarios and compare their outcomes.
  7. Export the schedule as CSV or JSON, or use the print/PDF flow for a report.

FAQ

Does this work for mortgages?

Yes. It can model a mortgage-style principal-and-interest schedule and optional monthly housing costs such as tax, insurance, HOA, and PMI.

Can I see how much an extra payment saves?

Yes. Add an extra payment per period or specific lump sums and the tool compares interest and payoff timing against the base schedule.

Can I compare refinancing?

Yes. Enter the proposed rate, new term, and closing costs to compare the refinance against the remaining modeled loan balance.

Does it support biweekly payments?

Yes. Monthly, semi-monthly, biweekly, and weekly schedules are available.

Can I export the full schedule?

Yes. The complete schedule can be downloaded as CSV or JSON, and the browser print flow can produce a PDF from the report.

Privacy

The calculator is local-first. Loan amounts, rates, scenarios, and schedules are calculated in your browser and are not uploaded to a server. Saved working data uses the tool’s browser-local persistence. There is no live-rate lookup or lender connection.

Supported formats

CSV for the amortization schedule and JSON for a structured report containing assumptions, summary values, and schedule rows. Print/PDF uses your browser’s local print dialog.

Limitations

Results are mathematical projections based on the assumptions entered. Actual lender schedules can differ because of contract-specific payment timing, day-count conventions, rounding, fees, escrow rules, rate resets, or other loan terms. Refinance break-even results are estimates, not lender quotes.
