White Screen — Fullscreen White Light & Clean White Display

Fill your screen with pure white in one click. Use it as a fill light, a clean white background, or to check for dust and smudges. Free, no download.

What it does

This page opens a pure white (#ffffff) screen you can take fullscreen with one click. A plain white display is useful as a soft fill light for video calls and photos, a blank background for scanning or photographing a document, a reading light, or a way to see dust, smudges and stuck pixels on your own screen.

How it works

White is the maximum of all three color channels, so the brightness you get is whatever your display’s backlight or panel can produce. Use the dimmer to turn it down toward a gentle lamp, or switch to Warm white or Cool white in the color list if pure white feels harsh. If you want a different color temperature, the color picker can sample one from a photo, and you can paste the hex into the tool.

How to use it

  1. Press Go fullscreen (or F).
  2. Raise your device’s brightness for maximum light, or drag the dimmer for a softer glow.
  3. Optionally tick Keep the screen awake so it doesn’t sleep while you work.
  4. Press Esc to exit.

FAQ

Can a white screen replace a ring light?

For a quick fill light on a call, it helps, especially from a large monitor. It is much weaker than a dedicated light, and its brightness is limited by your display.

How do I check my screen for dust or stuck pixels with white?

Go fullscreen and look closely: dust and smudges show as dark specks, and a stuck dark pixel is easy to see on white. For a fuller check, use the Display test mode in the Color Screen tool, which steps through white, black, red, green and blue.

Will a white screen use a lot of battery?

Usually more than a dark one, especially on OLED screens where each lit pixel draws power. Dim it if you’re running on battery.
