Spin the Wheel — Free Random Picker with Weighted Odds

Add your options, spin an animated wheel, and let it pick. Weighted odds, raffle mode that removes winners, saved wheels, and a fullscreen view for classrooms and streams.

What it does

Add a list of options — names, prizes, decisions, whatever you need picked at random — and spin an animated wheel to choose one. It supports weighted odds if some options should be more likely than others, a raffle mode that removes each winner so the next spin excludes them, and a fullscreen presentation view for classrooms or streams.

How it works

Each option gets an equal-sized slice by default, but you can give any option a weight to bias its odds — a weight of 2 makes an option twice as likely to win as a weight-1 option, and a weight of 0 removes it from contention entirely without deleting it from the list. The spin itself uses a real weighted random pick to choose the winner first, then animates the wheel to land on it with a smoothly decelerating spin — so the visual spin is honest, not just for show. In raffle mode, each winner is removed after their spin and the remaining options’ odds are automatically recalculated, which is exactly what you want for a sequential prize drawing where nobody should win twice.

How to use it

  1. Type your options into the list, or paste a batch in the bulk-add box (one per line).
  2. Adjust weights if some options should be more or less likely — leave them all equal for a fair spin.
  3. Click Spin and watch the wheel land on its pick.
  4. Turn on “Remove winner after spin” for raffle-style drawings where each person can only win once.
  5. Save the current list as a named wheel to switch between different option sets later — a class roster and a prize list, for example.
  6. Use fullscreen mode to project just the wheel for a classroom or stream.

FAQ

Is the spin actually random, or does the animation just land wherever it wants?

The winner is chosen by a real weighted random selection before the wheel starts spinning — the animation then lands on that pre-selected result. It’s not decorative; the visual spin always matches the fair outcome.

What happens if I set an option’s weight to 0?

It stays on the wheel visually but can never be selected as the winner — useful for temporarily excluding an option without deleting it and losing its color/position.

Does raffle mode really give each remaining person a fair shot after someone wins?

Yes — after a winner is removed, the odds for everyone left are recalculated from scratch based on their weights, exactly as if you’d built a new wheel with just the remaining options.

Can I save more than one wheel?

Yes — name and save as many option sets as you like, and switch between them with the dropdown. Handy for keeping a class roster separate from a prize list.

Does it make a sound when it spins?

Yes, a small tick plays as the wheel passes each slice, generated on the fly rather than from an audio file — you can turn it off if you’d rather spin silently.

Can I get an image of my wheel?

Yes — the “Export wheel as PNG” button saves the current wheel exactly as it’s drawn, colors and labels included.

Need a simpler random pick instead of a full wheel — a coin flip or a dice roll? The Dice & Coin Roller covers that in one click.
